In January 2010 SAWI conducted a project in the village of ZichBund, Matta, Swat for the IDPs of 2009 Swat Operation. Winter supplies including clothes, Quilts, pillows socks etc. were distributed among 100 families along with some stationery products including books and fancy pencils to hundreds of children who were deprived of education at that time. SAWI also organized a free Medical champ in the village. A sewing centre was also established for women to generate source income for them through skill learning.
